Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantexa Data Engineer to join our Contextual Monitoring Program within Financial Crime Risk Technology. This role will focus on the design, implementation and optimisation of Quantexa-based contextual monitoring solutions that support Financial Crime, Risk and Compliance outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions leveraging Quantexa, Spark and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, build and support Quantexa solutions for Contextual Monitoring and Financial Crime use cases.
· Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and enrichment pipelines supporting entity resolution, network generation, and scoring.
· Configure, optimise and support Quantexa processing pipelines using Spark and Scala.
· Integrate multiple internal and external data sources into Quantexa and associated analytics platforms.
· Build scalable and resilient data processing solutions capable of handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
· Implement data quality controls, reconciliation processes and monitoring capabilities.
· Support solution deployment across AWS and Kubernetes-based environments.
· Contribute to CI/CD automation, operational support and platform optimisation.
· Participate in Agile delivery processes and contribute to engineering best practices.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
· Hands-on experience implementing Quantexa solutions in enterprise environments.
· Strong understanding of data ingestion, data preparation, entity resolution, network generation, scoring and data model configuration.
· Experience delivering Quantexa-based Financial Crime or Risk solutions.
· Advanced Apache Spark experience.
· Strong Scala development experience with Java or Python exposure.
· Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
· Experience handling large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
· AWS experience including S3, EKS, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch, IAM and RDS.
· Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Skills
· Financial Crime, AML, or Compliance domain knowledge.
· Airflow, Argo Workflows or Control-M experience.
· Experience with DBT.
· Presto or Trino experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
· 2+ years of hands-on Quantexa implementation experience.
· Strong Spark and Scala expertise.
· Experience implementing Financial Crime, AML or Compliance solutions.
· Experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS.
